Ashley Meakin
Ashley Meakin is a final year PhD student investigating novel mechanisms by which the human placenta may respond to androgens and the implications these adaptations have for intrauterine growth outcomes. He is particularly interested in characterising the function of certain androgen receptor variants within the placenta and discerning their downstream targets, and identifying how maternal complications may modulate their expression and function.
