Hidefumi Inaba
Hidefumi Inaba, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of the The First Department of Medicine (Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism) at Wakayama Medical University, Japan. He graduated Shinshu University School of Medicine in 1999, and completed PhD program in 2006. He worked as a research associate at University of Chicago (2003-2005), Brown University (2005-2006), and Rhode Island University (2009), under the guidance of Dr. Leslie De Groot. His main research topic is basic and clinical research of autoimmune thyroid diseases. His academic achievements include identification of the TSH receptor epitope, and development of epitope specific treatment in Graves’ disease. He also has been involved with research of IgG4-related thyroid diseases. And he has been working on immune-checkpoint inhibitors associated thyroid diseases. He received a distinguished abstracts award in AOTA 2017 in Korea.
