Phillip Wong
Dr Phillip Wong is an endocrinologist at Monash Health and post-doctoral research fellow in the Centre for Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Hudson Institute. He obtained his PhD through the Hudson Institute where he investigated the pathophysiology of bone disease in patients with thalassaemia. Phillip’s research has focused on investigating the link between renal and bone disease in thalassaemia. His research has resulted in a change to the guidelines on the monitoring of renal and bone disease in thalassaemia. Phillip was awarded the Bryan Hudson Award in 2014 from the Endocrine of Society of Australia for his PhD research.
