Jessica Greaney
Jessica is a third year PhD student in the Christopher Chen Oocyte Biology Research Laboratory at the UQ Centre for Clinical Research, led by Professor Hayden Homer. During her PhD, Jessica has optimised a new approach to high-resolution 4D-imaging of mouse oocytes, and this led to the discovery of a new model for asymmetric division during meiosis I. Her work is of importance at both a cell biology level and also provides insight into how oocyte quality and thus, developmental potential, is maintained.
