Venessa Tsang
Dr Venessa Tsang is currently a Senior Staff Specialist at Royal North Shore Hospital and academic Associate Professor of Medicine at the Sydney Medical School, Northern, University of Sydney. She completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales, and trained as an Endocrinologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, gaining her fellowship in 2010. She obtained her PhD on the Molecular Pathogenesis of Phaeochromocytoma and Paraganglioma at the Cancer Genetics Unit at the Kolling Institute of Medical Research, University of Sydney, in 2015. Her work has been published and presented at international and national conferences. Her current research interests include the endocrine complications of immunomodulator therapy, molecular biology and genetics of familial endocrine cancers particularly phaeochromocytomas and paragangliomas, and thyroid cancers. She is the MD research co-ordinator for Northern Clinical School, and the Endocrine Assessment co-ordinator for the Sydney Medical Programme. She is the co-chair of the Diabetes and Endocrine Network for the Northern Sydney Local Health District.
