Angela Leung
Angela M. Leung, MD, MSc received her medical degree and completed her internship and internal medicine residency from the Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center; her clinical and research fellowships in its Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition; and a Master of Science in epidemiology from the Boston University of Public Health.
Dr. Leung is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and also holds
the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasonography from the American Association of
Clinical Endocrinologists. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American
Association of Clinical Endocrinology, and the American Thyroid Association (ATA).
Dr. Leung serves on the ATA board of directors and is the Editor-in-Chief of the society’s publication, Clinical Thyroidology. She is past chair of the ATA Public Health Committee and of the clinical program for the 2017 annual ATA meeting, and has served on the editorial boards of Thyroid, Endocrine Practice, and Clinical Thyroidology for the Public. She has published over 60 articles, reviews, book chapters and editorials and has spoken widely on the topics of iodine nutrition, thyroid toxicants, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer.
