Iza Denis
Dr Iza Denis is a National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia Fellow at the Dame Roma Mitchell Cancer Research Laboratories (DRMCRL), Adelaide Medical School, University of Adelaide. She was awarded her PhD in the late 2014 at the University of Nantes Cancer Research Institute, France. The focus of her PhD studies was developing new therapeutic approaches to treat malignant pleural mesothelioma and lung cancer, utilising nanomedicine, new epigenetic drugs and immunogenic strategies. Dr Denis has published 9 original research papers (4 as first author). She joined the DRMCRL in early 2015 and was awarded a 4-year Post-doctoral fellowship by the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Her project focuses on developing a new paradigm to target the estrogen receptor in breast cancer by exploiting essential factors that govern sex hormone receptor interactions.
